Clun Forest Reference Rams
The following Rams played a very important role in the development of our current
Clun Forest flock.  Although they are no longer here at Timberwood Farm, their
legacy lives on through their progeny.
                           Touchstone Rowdy
                                 2R-00090

Sire:
Easter Beltie UK-4153 (Babraham K.50 x Easter Beltie Ewe)
Dam: Touchstone M07 (Saltersford P512 x Linden Hill Buttercup 2E-00073)

Rowdy is a large, well built ram with nice length and a decent fleece with nice lustre.  His face
& legs are wool free, and his ears are set at the correct "11 & 1" position.  To date he has
produced nicely framed lambs with excellent conformation and classic features.

Sadly, Rowdy developed severe arthritis in all four legs and  was no longer able to stand, so
we put him down to alleviate his suffering.  Rowdy produced quite a few very nice, large
"classic" Clun lambs for us.  We are keeping one of his sons so his legacy will live on.

Tanzanite has matured into a very well built ram , with nice length, strong hindquarters and
good parasite resistance.  His fleece is fairly fine with an average staple length.  His face &
legs are wool free, and his ears are approaching the correct "11 & 1" position.   Tanzanite has
produced some very nice lambs with correct conformation, good  frame and nice fleeces.

Tanzanite has gone on to be the flock sire for John Fant of Independence, VA.  We are sure
that he will sire some very nice lambs in his new flock.
