Timberwood Farm Pasture Raised Lamb
Our Goat Meat is from our pastured Cashmere goats and it has a mild yet rich
flavor and is wonderful for any goat enthusiast or anyone new to goat. The goat
meat is from our 9 - 11 month old Cashmere
Wethers so the cuts are relatively
small.  We sell whole goats, half goats, and we also sell individual meat cuts.  
Whole and Half goats are only available when our W
ethers are processed in the
fall and winter.  Individual cuts of goat are available throughout the year.

Note: Because our Cashmere goat meat is so lean and tender we often have to
warn customers not to overcook it.  Our goat should be cooked until it reaches an
internal temperature of 160 - no more. Our goat achieves its fullest flavor when
served medium-rare.  Goat can be cooked just like lamb and you can substitute
goat meat for any recipe calling for lamb.
Whole Goats:
Our whole goats are sold based on Hanging Weight.   The average hanging
weight of our goats is between 23 and 30 lbs for a whole goat.  This will yield
approximately 19  to 25 lbs of actual meat depending on the cuts chosen.

  • A whole goat package includes Loin Chops, Rib Chops, Shanks, Whole
    or Half Legs, Shoulder Steaks/Chops or Ground, and organ meat.

  • The meat is cut to your specifications and individually wrapped and
    labeled. Priced at $6.00 a pound.  This goat is available in late Fall.  The
    goats will be going to the butcher in December 2017.  
1/2 Goats:
Our half goats are sold based on Hanging Weight.   For 1/2 a goat the
average hanging weight of our goats is between 12 and 15 lbs.  This will yield
approximately 9 to 11 lbs of actual meat depending on the cuts chosen.

  • A 1/2 goat package includes Loin Chops, Rib Chops, Shanks, 1 Whole or
    2 Half Legs, Shoulder Steaks/Chops or Ground, and Organ meat.

  • The meat is cut to your specifications and individually wrapped and
    labeled. Priced at $6.00 a pound.  This goat is available in late Fall.  The
    goats will be going to the butcher in December 2017
